this is my second year moose hunting we arrived sat 20 oct 2007 ignace ont 12a shot my first moose monday 22 at about 9am and what a rush he was about 150 yards away he walk about 20 feet from where i shot and layed down like he was having a snooze in a clear cut

Raven lake lodge or Raleigh Lake lodge? I have never heard of Raven lake but have heard of Raleigh.

raven lake is located about 20 minutes east of ignace it is owned by the same guy that owns sowden lake lodge which is just down the road from raven lake on hwy 17

Oh ok, I have heard of Sowden Lake lodge, ad when I mentioned it to Dad he remembers checking out Raven Lake lodge a few years ago for prices. From what he remembrs they were fairly pricey. But then again you take what you can get that time of year. Many places close right up after the first week.
12a has some nice spots. We used to hunt it when we stayed closer to Atikokan.

it was $240 a week per person and the cabins are real nice and they supplie almost everything u need

Good stuff. Do you have any pics of the moose. Is there more to the story? did you call him out or were you just in the right spot at the right time? Big small? Didd you see any others?
We really found they wern't comming to the call at all. Which was a bit frustrating. Usualy we can manage to atleast get a responce or 2. How many were hunting with you?

we were driving down an old logging road we came to the end and a bull and a cow were standing there looking at us we got out shot the bull and the cow would not let us near the bull for about a half hour i think she was mad we shot here boyfriend i have pic but i don't know how to post them

hey!! we used to own a commercial fishing outfit on Sowden Lake!! it's a beauty of a lake,, have you guys ever had a chance to check out that beach?
