The one year I did the big countdown all I got was bad luck. I was so excited that year it wasn't funny I had it so you could ask me at anytime and I could give it to you by the minute. Day before we go I'm making jam and bread for thr trip, start getting a funny pain in my guts. Fiquire it's just the excitement. Go outside for a smoke cough and almost fall over in pain. Come inside lay down, wife asks if I'm ok I say yeh I'll be all right, then she goes to work. Five minuted later I drive to hospital lukally a girl I went to highschool with was working triage. She took one look at me and called a doctor. By this time I was delerious with pain 20 minutes after that I had emergency hernia operation. The hernia had popped out and pulled out and pinched my bowels off, fun moose hunt eh. ;D Could have been worse in the middle of the bush in Geraldton. I don't do the countdown anymore till maybe a week or two ahead of time. Then I'm just trying to fiquire out how I can get a few extra days off.

And when he lays down it goes away right. I had the same thing and it wasn't that it hurt it just felt different. I could feel it move in and out. If he has one get him in. I didn't and the doctor says some guys get real close to dying before they go in because if it gets like mine and they still don't go in the bowel will get gangerine. They actually pulled out like 20 feet of mine to clean and check it out because I had bacteria and infection in my bloodstream from the 1-2 hours that my bowel was strangulated. As for the operation itself no problem put you out patch it up. two months later I was given the go ahead to do anything. I lift wieghts do ab exercises and drag my own deer no probs. I to didn't want to do anything about it and what did I get, a lost hunt. I only got in about 3 weeks deer hunting that year and I usally get 3 months. So I'd tell him to go get it looked at or he may mis the hunt. If it needs to get done you can get it booked and be healed in time.

I always start at 100 days. Otherwise I drive myself crazy. But I am alawys thinking of it. So is Dad and my uncle. I can phone my uncle up at any given time of year and he'll ask if I am ready to go. Dads famous saying is "before ya know it" Before ya know it we'll be applying for tags, before ya know it we'll be needing to get groceries, start packing, and so on. I love it.

8 days eh! where you going? I leave 3 weeks from today. Funny I was just reading my above post from March 7 saying before you know it. Well guess what, before you know it is here, and I love it. I washed all my clothes in scent free soap today, sighted in the bow today, sighted in the rifle today, finished a duck blind today, put up a tree stand today...WOW! the things you get done when the kids are in school...lol.. We have slowly started buying odds and ends of groceries for ur Oct. moose hunt also. I have the feaver.
Was going to go out bear hunting today but its windier than hell out so I thinl I'll pass tonight.
