well, last saturday me 'n giver went for moose, I walked into an area, and giverguns into an area close by,, I found myself listening to moose grunts, and the familiar crash of brush as I walked in at first light. a larger bull presented itself and I could only see it through some hazelbrush,, so chose not to take the shot,, soon after I saw the tops of small trees moving, towards me, and I thought that the bugger was coming right out for me,, so I wait,, well about 50 feet, out pops a huge cow,, and I see behind her something is close on her tail, I am thinking it might be a calf, so I got ready to blast the calf... well it was a smaller bull,, and he musta winded or seen me, I wasn't far, and was in the clear open, and with the sun beating down on me,, he jumped and took off into the bush, without me taking a shot!!! AARRRGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!
later in the day we stopped for lunch, and I saw the biggest buck I have ever seen!! I got my gun loaded, and was just bearing down on him, when he bolted too!
a great day for seeing game, just not so great for me pullin the hammer
ah well, there's always next weekend
