Welllll Havn't heard many success stories yet! Around home I have heard of only 2 gangs comming home with meat. The one guy went on a fly in out of Wawa, on his way home they stoped for gas and the guy told him it was the first moose he had seen all week. What gives? Anybody here getting anything? How was the weather? Comon folks, spill the beans. I leave Thurs.

gee, not much to tell, we went out for 9 days, and were yet again invaded by other hunters, and only saw 1 dead moose, a young bull. we were cruising along a trail and there he was, all by himself, the hunter had gone for help we think. we are going out again next weekend, and I was talking to my brother last night, he wants to take me flying, so I might go and scope things out. that's the only action I've seen thus far.

Well Corman I returned Friday for yet another year of tag soup! We were about 50km south of Geraldton, the weather was nothing but rain and thunder storms. We received about 6 inches of rain Saturday night to the point it washed out the main road with a 12' by 8' hole approx. 12' deep. It flooded ponds creeks rivers everything and then it continued to rain for the remainder of the week. Even in the rain I hunted hard and we (a lot and I mean a lot of other hunters in the area) were not seeing any fresh sign, not in cuts on the edges of cuts near lakes nothing. So in the end tag soup. We started with one nice beaver grass covered swamp really nice looking, I mean you would not see anothing nicer on any of the videos you would ever watch, approx 2-300 yards across and about 1.5km long. We heard one crashing the first night, then nothing for two more days. By day four it had rained so much we were flooded out and could not get back to the swamp. So I ended up leaving my folding chair behind in the swamp for someone else. All in all it was better than work but I am really beginning to wonder what the heck I am doing wrong!!!!!

Well guys I leave on Thursday night for Ear Falls and I hope we run into something. I was talking to another gang that was there for first week and they got skunked. They also had rain the whole week. I am praying for nice cold weather and a monster bull.

Going later looks like it would have been a good idea this year, the CO for the huge area he covers said he had only seen 5 or 6 dead moose
